Italian Greyhound Dog Breed Temperament, Health Issues, Grooming and History

Description: The Italian Greyhound has wonderful fine bones and is slender. The head is slim but long. The muzzle is long but is still in keeping with the dog. The nose is brown or black depending on the colour of the coat. The bite is scissor. It has eyes that are dark and medium in size. The dogs' ears fold back to the edge of the head, and when on the alert they angle to the right. With a long neck, that is arched. It has a deep chest, which is narrow. This breed has straight front legs and long back legs. It has a long thin tail that tapers to a point. Their height is 12 to 15 inches, with the weight being 6 to 10 pounds. There are two weight categories 8 pound maximum and over 8 pounds. This is a short haired dog with a glossy coat. The coat comes in black, blue, grey, slate grey, red and white or cream. Brindle and black and tan are not accepted in the show ring but make fine pets.

History: The Italian Greyhound is an ancient breed of dog, and remains have been found in Egyptian tombs, that dated back to some 6,000 years ago. With evidence going back to Turkey and Greece from some 4,000 years ago. There is also evidence of these dog 2,000 years ago in the Mediterranean, in picture form. This dog became popular with the noblemen during the renaissance period. There is even evidence of a small greyhound type dog in the city of Pompeii. This dog is believed to have been brought to Europe, by the Phoenician civilisation and went on to be popular with James the first of England, Queen Victoria, and Catherine the great of Russia. During the 1700s Frederick the great of Prussia loved his dog so much that he buried his dog, on its death, himself and his dying wish was to be buried next to his dog. Sadly it was 205 years before Frederick's family transferred his remains, to be placed beside his beloved little Italian Greyhound. This breed has mainly been a comp!

anion dog throughout history, but it has been used as a hunting dog and is a gaze hound, albeit the smallest of this family. This breed hunted rats, mice, and falcons. The Italian Greyhound became a firm favourite of the Italians in the sixteenth century. This sadly went through a time where this breed was bred in an attempt to make them smaller, and the Italian Greyhound was nearly lost. Then groups of breeders got together to save this charming little dog, and they managed through careful breeding to get the breed back to its former glory.

Temperament: Here we see an eager and affectionate dog, which is intelligent and well mannered. This dog will want to please their owner, and are very sensitive to the tone of voice used. The Italian Greyhound does not respond well to harsh negative discipline. As an owner you need to be calm and have natural authority and good leadership, to gain the best from this dog. Socialising this dog well, will help it not be nervous around strangers and new situations. This is not a hard dog to train, providing you are consistent. This breed can be highly strung and show signs of being timid, if they are not treated as a normal dog and given plenty of exercise, including daily walks. They prefer a quiet house, although they get on with children and other dogs. It is probably wise to have an Italian Greyhound with older children. With this breed it is sensible to learn how to handle a dog that is timid, to enable them to cope with situations. Being a good leader, means this dog needsto be treated as a dog and not be allowed to develop small dog syndrome, as this can cause them to be more timid, resulting in problems such as being snappy. This dog is extremely fast, and love nothing more than to have a good run in a safe area, they are also able to climb.

Health issues: The Italian Greyhound can have epilepsy, fractures, PRA, slipped stifle. Puppies are more fragile in this breed until about 18 months old, and a balance has to be met between being careful with them and not treat them like a human baby.

Grooming: Grooming for an Italian Greyhound is easy and all you have to do is give the dog a rub down with a piece of towelling. Bath, only when necessary, remembering this dog needs to be keep warm and dry thoroughly. This is a low shedder.

Living conditions: This breed will be fine in an apartment and will do okay without a garden, but do need good exercise and space to allow them to run free when outdoors.

Family Dinners

The dinner table can be one of the best places to bring your family together. Eating a nice home cooked meal with your whole family is a wonderful experience, and can bring great discussion, or humor to everyone attending. My family has a wonderful pasta dinner every Sunday night. My mother spends all day preparing her sauce, meatballs, and whatever else it takes to create her masterpiece. After hours of preparing it's finally done. The family gathers at the dinner table and begins the feast. On Sundays we always sit at the dinner table. Your asking, where else would you sit? Well, during the week we have an island counter top which we eat our meals at. The island is simply more convenient, and easy to use for my mother when she's cooking. For our Sunday feast, we always set the dinner table, and sit at the table together to eat our meal.

I look forward to every Sunday for a number of reasons. The main reason being I love to eat, and I love to eat pasta more than anything. We are an Italian family and we all enjoy a fabulous pasta dinner every week. Besides the eating part of our feast, I enjoy joining my family and starting conversation. It's not often you get to sit down with your whole family at once for an extended period of time. Being able to talk to my all my brothers at once is pretty cool. I got three brothers, and having them all there at once can be quite exciting. Asking one brother one thing can lead to a fun conversation, or sometimes a ruthless argument. Overall it's a fun experience and you get to learn a lot about your siblings, and/or parents.

My brothers all attend school, and two of them work full time jobs, theres just no time to spend time with them. Having a weekly dinner is a very exciting aspect of our family. No matter what is happening that week, I know that the upcoming Sunday I will see my whole family whether it's at our dinner table, or simply out to eat at one of our favorite restaurants. Not everyone can make it every Sunday, but that's understandable and we forgive them. Most Sunday's we have the whole family attending, including my grandma, who I feel is the most important person at the dinner table.

My grandma, who we call "nuni" or "nonna" which is Italian for grandmother. Our nonna came over from Italy over 50 years ago on a boat, and has never been the same since. I love talking to her at the dinner table about the old times in the old country. She teaches us some cool things about cooking, and just being Italian in general. Sometimes my nunna will teach us some Italian phrases, or secrets to different things that she's learned over in Italy. I love comparing her different ways to go about doing certain things to the way we do certain things over here in America, it's very interesting.

One of the coolest things I've learned from my grandmother is how to make homemade pasta. My grandmother grew up in a village in Sicily, and was taught to produce her own pasta noodles when it came to their family feasts. Learning how to make my own homemade pasta was easily one of the coolest things I've learned from here. I currently attend the University of New Hampshire for Culinary Arts, and cooking happens to be my passion. Having my grandma around is so awesome, and I learn a lot from her every day. She taught me the basics of using a Pasta Machine, and how to make my own pasta from scratch. After a few hours of preparing our noodles, our product was done. I had produced enough pasta for weeks! We ate the homemade pasta later that night and it was fantastic. May not taste like it was store bought, but it definitely tastes homemade, and delicious.

The moral of the article is to make more people aware of the power of food, whether your preparing it or eating it. Take advantage of your family dinners, who knows how much longer you'll have with them. Whether you sit and enjoy the presence, or strike a conversation with your family members, a family dinner is a great way to gather the family each week.

Finding The Right Piano Study Technique

Learning to play the piano can be trying at times. It doesn't matter if you are just starting out, or if you have played for years, sometimes it feels like you just aren't getting anywhere at all. And, no matter how long you sit and study and play the piano, you are bombarded with the old adage "Practice makes perfect". But, how can you study the piano if you aren't really sure what you're supposed to be doing? Well, every good piano player should know that studying the piano is more than just practicing. Studying the piano involves playing all different works to help your fingers continually train and stretch, reading through music and understanding every work before you master it, how long you can practice, and how well you can use your study time.

Every piano player needs to find the study technique(s) that will help them to learn better and faster, and usually it's trial and error that will point this out to you. Some piano instructors will help you find the right study technique by giving you several tips and ideas that helped them, while others will simply tell you to "go home and practice". But, if you are not playing correctly while you are practicing, you are simply defeating the whole purpose of practice. So, how do you know what to do when studying the piano?

Study Techniques To Help You Improve

While there are millions of ways to study the piano, there are some techniques that will always provide help to any player, new or old:

Make sure that your practice area is free of all distractions, such as the television, phone, loud music, and even other people if needed. Having a quiet place to read, study, and practice can help you more than anything while you are learning.

Read through your music or assignment. Every piano instructor will either assign you or show you some great practice suggestions for your study at home. There is a reason for these, and you should always do any practice pieces at home when you can.

Study and practice the piano every day. No matter if you can only set aside thirty minutes per day to study, you need to be sure that you are practicing each day. Once you have your study time down, you should continue to study at that same time, every day.

When you sit down to practice, make sure that the sheet music is easy for you to read and that you have enough light to see it. There is no need to strain your eyes or try to play something that you can't read.

When you are working on learning a long piece, don't try to cram it all in at one study session. You should break it up into smaller pieces and learn each of them in order so you will be prepared and ready to play the whole thing through.

As you break down each section in the piece, you should play through them slowly at first, making sure that each note, pitch, melody, tune, and rhythm is right and in the right spot. There is no need to study that piece if you play the same mistakes over and over. By practicing each work correctly, and slowly, for a few times, you're fingers will know where to go and what to do when they get there.

When you have a good study session, you should reward yourself by playing something that you already know and love after something new and hard. By playing something that you are already good at, you will bolster your self esteem and let you know that you are a good piano player, and practice will have you playing this new, hard piece in no time too.

You should take your teacher's suggestions and tips home with you. By using their advice, you will find all sorts of new avenues of study and play that you didn't know before. After all, it took them years of practice and study to get where they are, so they have done something right!

Find a musical dictionary. This will help you study your pieces the right way by telling you what each Italian term on your music means, such as Allegro vivace, so you don't get confused while practicing or playing. Knowing what the original composer meant and wanted that particular line to sound like will help you become a better player.

Experiment. Use different study techniques until you find some that work for you. Everyone has different ways of learning, whether it's by reading all about the piano and the work that you are trying to learn, or whether it's sitting down and playing it over and over until you get it right and can play it in your sleep, each different piano player will have to experiment to find that perfect study technique for them.

Listen, Learn, and Play

While you are in class, you should always listen to your piano instructor. This means that you should soak in everything you possibly can, from new techniques that you need to master to where the next good piano concert will be and when. By knowing new techniques that you can use, you will find that you'll be able to get these new techniques into your routine and help you on the road to becoming a better piano player. By attending some of the better piano concerts around your area, you will have time to study each different piano player and see how they play, read, study, and much more. When you are able to watch the better piano players, you will become better as well, as you should learn something from each different performance.

Once you have found a few new techniques for studying the piano, you can take them all home and try them out on your instrument. Make sure that you either memorize the techniques or that you write them down before you stop your practice for the day. By memorizing or writing down the new technique that you have learned that day, you are less likely to forget it the next morning.

The term pizza covers a lot of territory. If you want to learn all about pizzas, then you should have a bit of a background on pizzas: specifically the history of pizza, pizza origin, pizza facts, and even pizza trivia such as who invented pizza. The subject also delves into the different types and styles of pizzas. The varieties currently existing defy any attempts at enumeration. Thus, most people who attempt such a task stop at a broad categorization of pizza types according to certain attributes such as crust thickness, crust elasticity, crust baking and cooking procedures, toppings, etc. Aside from general, historical or trivial information, other things are of interest to the pizza lovers. For instance, homemade pizza enthusiasts would like to know certain tips and tricks for making pizza. This includes pizza making techniques, the best pizza crust recipes, pizza toppings, homemade pizza sauce, etc. Some other interesting topics will be frozen pizza dough and where best to attain them, what are the criteria for choosing the, what are the methods for preparing them, etc.

It must be obvious that this article is a mite ambitious for wishing to tackle something entitled "all about pizza." However, an attempt is definitely warranted, so here goes.

Some pizza facts and trivia

Accounts of pizza history always begin with the origin of pizza. This one might as well follow the same tack. We have to thank any civilization or race that baked flat bread on hot stones or stone ovens for pizza, for almost certainly, bread like the focaccia was the "mother of the pizza crust." However, the invention of the pizza is more properly attributed to the Neapolitans - the people of Naples, Italy who were baking and making pizza crust topped with tomatoes, oil, and Italian herbs, and spices. This rudimentary and traditional Italian pizza was common peasant fare in Naples. If you want an individual originator and inventor of pizzas, however, then you won't be wrong if you cite Rafaelle Esposito - a native of Naples; he modified the basic Neapolitan pizza recipe and came up with three variants that added mozzarella cheese to the rudimentary Italian pizza toppings.

Now, if you are looking for some topics for small conversation, then you must remember the following trivia. One note of caution, though; you shouldn't blurt these out just to anybody or you'll sound decidedly corny and geeky. Make sure you're talking to someone interested in pizzas before you use the following trivia as conversational gambits.

" Most people in the United States love pepperoni; the least liked toppings are anchovies.

" Pizza was called (and is still called) tomato pie and pizza pie in certain parts of the States.

" The first pizzeria in the United States was opened in New York.

" The pizza industry is worth more than 30 billion dollars in the United States alone and Americans consume around three billion units of pizza every year.

" New York pizza is traditionally plain. Supposedly, New York pizza is unique because of the acidity and hardness of the water in New York. New Yorkers therefore claim that only in New York can you make real New York Pizza.

(New Yorkers must admit, however, that if water is the unique characteristic of New York pizzas, one who uses water adjusted for hardness and acidity to reflect New York water conditions, adds all the usual New York pizza ingredients and toppings, follows all the procedures strictly but makes the pizza in New Jersey can conceivably make an authentic, New York style pizza. But such an assertion, some would say, is just plain cheek.)

Pizza types and pizza styles

The first step to a great homemade pizza is determining what type of pizza you wish to make. After all, different types of pizza have different attributes and thus call for different types of pizza base, pizza toppings and cooking techniques. Would you like to make an authentic Italian pizza, a New York style pizza, a California style pizza, or a Chicago style pizza?

Italian pizza is generally lean, although when you add cheese, its fat level generally rises in proportion. There are various kinds of Italian pizza, too. There are Neapolitan pizzas, of which there are two general types: the marinara and the Margherita. There are various combinations of these as well. Authentic Italian pizza, moreover, is supposedly baked on wood-fired or even coal-fired, stone ovens.

New York pizza, as abovementioned, is generally plain. The mainstay of New York pizza is mozzarella cheese - fresh mozzarella cheese to be precise. One can add garlic, different types of cheeses, anchovies, shrimp, etc but these are usually optional. The pizza dough recipe for traditional New York pizza, on the other hand, calls for high-gluten flour. The result is firm, usually thin, chewy pizza.

The California style pizza is generally known for gourmet flavors. You can say the California pizza has countless variations. The pizza crust, in this case, is light, crisp and generally well risen. The toppings can be out of this world - generally California pizza makers experiment a lot with all kinds of meat, sea food, breakfast dishes, and vegetable for the toppings.

The Chicago style pizza, on the other hand, is generally crusty and very filling. They are characterized by their raised edges; imagine a pre-baked apple pie crust where you can place the fillings on top. Chicago pizza is usually meaty (some variants come stuffed with cheeses and meat layers) and it is eaten with a knife and fork.

You can also start by deciding on the flavor you want. Do you want to make a cheese pizza, a vegetarian pizza or a fruit pizza? Perhaps you want to make a low fat pizza, a low carb pizza, a healthy pizza? Sourdough pizza is also another variant.

Take your pick among your many options. Once you have decided, choosing the recipe would be much easier. If you have decided on an Italian pizza, for instance, then find your Italian pizza crust recipe, your Italian pizza sauce recipe and the overall Italian pizza recipe that will give you a list of toppings and pizza preparation procedures for making an authentic Italian pizza. For an easier time of it, you can opt to use Italian-style frozen pizza dough then just follow the Italian pizza recipe that you've found.

Some pizza making tips and techniques

Hand tossing will help you minimize the lumps in your pizza dough. However, this should be done only after sufficient pizza dough kneading. This process lets your pizza dough develop into the right kind of consistency - that which is suitable for stretching and hand tossing. Hand tossing, however, is not advisable for thick pizza crust varieties.

If you want a crisp and firm pizza that retains its structure even when the moist toppings are added, you can bake the pizza crust before you add the toppings and the pizza sauce. However, for thin pizza crusts, baking the crust after the toppings and sauce have been added is sufficient. For uniform baking and crisping of the crust, use a pizza stone or a pizza screen.

Finally, remember that the protein content of your flour will influence the end product. High-gluten flour will lead to a crisp but chewy crust. Gluten-free flour, however, may lead to very soft dough; additives may have to be used to give the pizza dough strength.

Different Approaches to Nursery Education in Croydon

There are different approaches to educating pre-schoolers that the nurseries in Croydon follow. Each approach has its own speciality. There are three major approaches that are prevalent in nurseries in Croydon: the Reggio Emilia Approach, the Waldorf approach, and the Montessori approach. We will now look at the unique aspects of each of these teaching styles.

Reggio Emilia Approach

This approach was first developed by Loris Malaguzzi, in and around Reggio Emilia in Italy, after World War II. Parents in Reggio Emilia felt that the destruction caused by the war would leave negative impact on their children. Hence, a new approach was quickly needed to educate their children during the early years of development of a child. In order to build up the individuality of their children they developed a new program of education on the principles of respect, responsibility, and community. The city of Reggio Emilia is recognized as the home to this innovative approach to education. This was later adopted by rest of the European cities, Croydon being one of them.

The Reggio Emilia philosophy is based upon the following set of principles:

-Every child must have control over the direction of his/ her learning -The program allows the child to learn through personal experiences of touching, moving, listening, seeing, and hearing -The program also allows children to understand and develop their relationships with other children and with material items in the world -It also gives children opportunities to explore different endless ways to express themselves

Waldorf education

This educational philosophy was originally developed by an Austrian philosopher Rudolf Steiner, who is also the founder of anthroposophy. This approach emphasizes on the role of the imagination of a child and allows it to develop which enhances the creativity of the individual and is based on the practical, artistic, and conceptual elements of learning. This philosophy encourages the child to become free, moral and integrated individual. It also supports every child in fulfilling his or her unique aspirations. In 1919, the first Waldorf School was founded in Waldorf-Astoria, to educate the children of the employees of the cigarette factory in Stuttgart. This form of education has been adopted by nurseries in Croydon also. There are several Waldorf-based public and Charter schools and homeschooling environments. Even pre-schools and nurseries have also taken up this educational philosophy to educate toddlers.

Montessori nurseries

These are exceptionally popular for pre-school education and can be easily located in Croydon. The nurseries are named after their founder, Dr Maria Montessori. Dr Montessori was an Italian woman who developed this method of child education. Her work and study of children developed a unique form of teaching method which is based on various principles. Additionally, good visuals on a website are important, and realtors may even consider adding a video element to their pages.

Of course, there are even less expensive alternatives for digital strategy. One idea is for realtors to list homes on real estate websites, like Zillow or Trulia. Both of these websites feature high-quality mobile applications, and are rich in visual features. Another idea is for realtors to use social media to communicate with their client base.

Real estate mobile marketing gives realtors new, fresh ways to reach out to potential clients. Web and phone-based services offer convenience to clients, at a low cost to realtors, thus helping them to recruit and retain more prospective buyers. 7 Reasons I'm Sticking With My Lifestyle Business

I started Cows From My Window 18 months ago and despite the inevitable rocky patches of any new business, it has been the best 18 months of my life.

Here are 7 reasons why owning a lifestyle business works for me (and could for you):

1. I can choose my work

Whenever I'm approached by a potential client, the first question which goes through my head is "Is working with this person on this type of change something that will really excite me?" If it isn't, I don't take the work. What job would give me that freedom?

2. I have control over my time

OK, having your own business is hard work, but it's me and not my boss who gets to decide how much I work and when.

I stop at 3pm so I can take my 3 ½ year old daughter to a park, explore Beijing's hutongs together on my bike, or maybe do some painting. If I haven't finished what I needed to, I make up for it in the evenings after Elsa is in bed - which might not be everyone's choice, but it suits me.

3. I decide where I work

I see clients at home or work with them over the phone - which is a joy, because there's no commute. On my writing days, I can drag on my slobbiest clothes, and work from my laptop at my local café. (I admit there's a downside... having to limit myself to just one cup of their wall-climbingly strong Italian coffee, and mustering the willpower to stay away from the tiramisu).

4. I'm surrounded by inspiring, creative and courageous people

My clients are a daily reminder of the courage and determination it takes to change your life...and of how much it is worth it in the end. And I've made friends with many other business owners - a fun, independent-minded, creative bunch of people firmly in charge of their own destiny.

5. I am always (ALWAYS!) learning

I have a piece of paper pinned to a corkboard beside my desk and barely a day goes by that I don't scribble another book title down on my wish-list. Psychologists, philosophers, heroes of today and yesteryear, business and marketing gurus - how will I ever live long enough to learn all there is to know?

6. I have time to smell the roses

Elsa and I spend nearly 3 months of the year (in batches) in the UK with my parents. It's pretty much free time, for Elsa to bond with her grandparents, and for me to visit friends or just relax in the laid back country village, where a 100 metre amble to the local pub is the height of the social scene. I do fit in some work, (thanks mum and dad for the child-minding)! - but it's ticking-things-along kind of stuff, nothing too stressful.

7. I'm forced to become a better person!

There's nothing like owning a business for slamming you brutally up against your weaknesses. Not just technical areas like accounting expertise or strategic thinking. But personal qualities you're lacking, like - in my case - patience, or the ability to JUST - CHILL - OUT.

Having your own business is like being permanently on drugs (I imagine!). The highs are higher and the lows are lower. But in my view, finding something in life which constantly pushes you past your comfort zone is the best way to honour the one life we are given. In the words of Thomas Mann:

"There is at bottom only one problem in the world and this is its name: how does one break through? How does one get into the open? How does one burst the cocoon and become a butterfly?"

Introduction to Arpeggios

Arpeggios are chords whose notes are played separately, in succession. The simplest arpeggios involve playing the notes in the chord one after another, in order. The steps outlined below will give you the tools to play an upward arpeggio, one that moves from lower-pitched notes to higher ones. You will need to prepare the notes of the chord that you want to play before trying to execute the arpeggio. The following are the instructions for a simple upward arpeggio, using open strings:

1. Prepare both hands as if you were going to play a chord

2. Play the sixth string with your thumb. Do not move your fingers. Play a rest stroke, leaving your thumb on the fifth string in order to better support your hand.

3. Play the third string with your index finger. Keep both your middle fingers and your ring fingers in place, then perform a free stroke.

4. Play the second string with your middle finger, but leave your ring finger where it is. This is difficult, because these two fingers lack the strength and control that the others naturally have. Guitarists must exercise these weaker fingers to help balance their strength.

5. Play the first string with your ring finger. .

6. Return to the original position and repeat as many times as you need. Quality, not quantity or speed, is the key to mastering arpeggios, or any other musical skill, for that matter.

Finger Notation

Like many musical terms, the notation for your right-hand fingers uses the Italian or Spanish names for the digits. Fortunately for English-speaking students, the names of the index and middle fingers begin with the same letters as they do in English. The letter 'p' is used to represent the thumb. It stands for the Spanish equivalent 'pulgar.' The ring finger is known as the 'annular,' hence its notation is the letter 'a.' The notation for the above arpeggio would therefore be written 'p' (thumb) - 'i' (index) - 'm' (middle) - 'a' (ring finger).

Now, practice the above arpeggio again, remembering the letter-names of the fingers as you do. Keep trying until you perform the arpeggio, called a 'p-i-m-a' arpeggio, smoothly. Next, try this fingering on the other chords. Be sure that you use your thumb on the proper strings. Choose the lowest one for the thumb and the top three for the fingers.

Reverse Arpeggios

To perform a reverse arpeggio, using the fingering 'p-a-m-i,' you do not need to prepare all of your fingers before you play this arpeggio, as you did in the previous one. Only the outer fingers, 'p' and 'a' will need to be placed in advance.

After you have laid the basic groundwork to get reasonably comfortable with the physical movements with which you play chords, arpeggios, and alternations, you should begin to play some actual music, both tunes and accompaniments. To play these, you need to learn how music is written. After you are relatively familiar with musical notation, you may move on to learning how to play simple melodies, as well as chords.

Miniature Pinscher Dog Breed History, Health Issues, Grooming, Temperament and Living Conditions

Description: This breed, the Miniature Pinscher stands 10 to 12 inches in height for the dog and 10 to 11 inches for the bitches. Their weight is 8 to 10 pounds for the dog and slightly less for the bitches at 8 to 9 pounds. This is a compact dog thats head is in proportion to the body. The skull appears flat, tapering towards the muzzle. Here the muzzle is good and strong, and in good proportion to the head. This breed has a scissor bite. They have dark eyes slightly oval in shape. The ears are high and cropped if in a country that allows this. With front legs being straight, they have small feet that are catlike in shape. Their tail, if it is allowed, is cropped. The coat is short, smooth, and hard to the touch and lies close to the body. Colouring is; stag red, it is red with black hair, black with rust markings and chocolate with tan red.

History: The Miniature Pinscher dog breed comes from Germany and in its genetic pool, we find Italian Greyhound, Dachshund and the short haired German Pinscher. This breed looks very similar to the Doberman, and this is due to the fact that German pincher is in the gene pool of both these dog. The Miniature Pinscher was used to control the rodent population in barnyards and farms, and later in stables in the cities. Some of this breeds' talents lie in competitive obedience and agility and have also been used as a watchdog.

Temperament: The Miniature Pinscher dog is generally of good health and is a proud and courageous dog. With high energy, great spirited and enthusiasm the Miniature Pinscher shines with life. They are loyal dogs to their owners. This dog is generally good with other pets, and is good with children. As with all small dogs, dependant upon how you treat this dog will have a vast impact on their temperament; small dog syndrome is something to be avoided as this will lead to a demanding dog that can be incredibly headstrong, becoming protective and openly aggressive with other dogs, and possibly people. At the least your dog will bark far more than you wish for. This dog, like all others require a good pack leader, this is the owner. This breed is a fast and good learner, and it is very beneficial to socialise the dog well as a puppy. Here, the dog can meet new people and new dogs, allowing for better understanding throughout their lives. If this dog is given good, fair boundaries, and a good pack leader, that understands how fast this dog can learn, exercising both their physical and mental needs, including daily walks. This can be a magnificent family companion.

Health issues: The Miniature Pinscher has no problems and is of good general health.

Grooming: Using a firm bristle brush or comb, brush twice weekly or more often as needed. This breed is easy to keep clean. If required using a damp warm cloth, wipe the coat down to keep the coat clean.

Living conditions: The Miniature Pinscher breed is a good choice for apartment life. It is active indoors and can live without a garden. Always make sure your dog has a walk daily, as it is not just good physical exercise, but also gives the mind something to do, which is important for this breed.

Did you know that eBay has an affiliate program? This is sometimes overshadowed by the sheer size of eBay, but you can make affiliate income from eBay.

Here is how it works. Go to the http://affiliates.ebay.com and sign up. This will direct you to Commission Junction (www.cj.com) which handles the commissions for eBay. You should spend time on Commission Junction after you join to see all the other affiliate programs that you can join as well as eBay. You will be amazed at all the affiliate programs that are available on Commission Junction.

You will notice that you can become an affiliate of eBay in several countries. If you speak the language of another country, you can become an affiliate of that country if you desire. I am an affiliate of eBay USA, Italy, France, UK, Canada, and India. I am not active except in the US and Italy. Italy you say! No, I do not speak Italian, but I found an Italian translator through elance.com who helps me with my Google Adwords ads that drive traffic to eBay Italy. When they join and buy, I receive my commissions in US dollars through Commission Junction.

Currently, the initial fee for causing someone to join eBay is $12.00. Under the old structure, this covered the first 499 people. Then the fee rose to $16.00 each over 499.

The new structure still pays $12.00 for the first tier, but the tier is for 1 - 49. At 50 - 499 the fee is $16.00. This structure is much more favorable for the little guy.

1) Brazilians want to win more than your team

Football in Brazil is close to a religion, and everyone from players to managers to spectators take it very, very seriously.
